WASHINGTON, DC — Love it or hate it, New Year's Eve is happening again this year. Whether you plan to ring in 2018 at your favorite restaurant, a buzzing party with your friends, an early night out with the kids, or all cozied up in front of the TV, we've got you covered.
So pop the bubbly, come up with some resolutions you can actually stick to and get ready to celebrate the New Year. Black Tie New Year's Eve Gala: For the 15th year, join other partygoers at the Marriott Wardman Park for a "sophisticated haven of luxury and service." The Gala includes DJs, live bands, open bar, dinner and karaoke.
ZooLights at the National Zoo: A free event, ZooLights includes live music performances, tasty winter treats and plenty of opportunities for holiday shopping. More than 500,000 environmentally-friendly LED lights transform the Zoo into a winter wonderland complete with a dazzling light show set to music.
Washington DC New Year's Eve Passport to the World Gala: World Gala is held at the Embassy Suites Hotel and includes activities in rooms based on specific cities—such as honoring "The City of Love" by speed dating in the Paris room or dance the night away in a club atmosphere in the Ibiza room.
DC Blues Society New Year's Party: American Legion Post 41, 905 Sligo Avenue, Silver Spring. Evening includes a traditional southern-style dinner, party favors, midnight champagne toast, and cash bar.
New Year's Eve 2018 Celebrity Masquerade Ball: Now in its fifth year, this gala is held at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Expect DJs, professional entertainers, a balloon drop at midnight, food and a full open bar.
Midnight in Paris Gala at Malmaison Georgetown: Celebrate New Year's Eve in true Parisian style at the gorgeous Malmaison Ballroom with an open bar, live streaming of the NYE Countdown and more. VIP table packages available.
New Year's Eve Spy Gala Washington DC: This is the 16th year of "Washington DC's Sexiest Annual New Year's Eve Countdown," celebrated at The Washington Plaza Hotel. This upscale party has five international buffets, top DJ's and more.

"New Year's Eve Live" With Anderson Cooper And Andy Cohen
Where to catch it: CNN starting at 8 p.m. ET
Why you should watch: For the first time ever, Anderson Cooper will host CNN's annual New Year's Eve Live special with none other than "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen. As these two are best friends in real life, you can expect tons witty banter and hilarious moments from the pair. The Bravo mogul will replace Cooper's former co-host Kathy Griffin, whom CNN fired after her controversial Donald Trump photoshoot.
"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2018" Hosted by Ryan Seacrest
Where to catch it: ABC starting at 8 p.m. ET
Why you should watch: Remember last year's infamous Mariah Carey mic incident? Yes, it happened on Seacrest's watch. So if that's any indication, this could be a good one to tune-in to. And even if there aren't any crazy celebrity snafus, you can count on crazy views of Time Square packed with people, as well as awesome musical performances.
